I have just won the above club in a charity auction today at our old club, but having never owned or used one before I would like some feedback from some of you guys that have them.i m using vokey sm4 52 an 56 at the minute thanks in advance

I have one and love it. Use it as my "trouble wedge" around the greens when i need to stop the ball reasonably quickly out of the rough. Also use it out of bunkers.

Wouldn't dream of hitting full shots with it but only because I lack the skill to do so....

Lots of people say a 60* is nothing but trouble for someone of my ability but personally speaking i can hit shots with it I don't feel I could hit with my SW so it stays in the bag.

ive gone back to my 60. use it very sparingly though. bunkers and lob shots when necessary. i try to leave it in the bag if the ground is any way soggy.

I just love Cleveland wedges, just gone back to them after a brief experiment with TM. Had a good look at all sorts and went back to Cleveland just love the classic shape and way they sit a joy to hit. Hope it works for you too.

Can be extremely useful.

Can be extremely embarrassing!

Practice with it - it'll certainly help you get better contact with your other wedges (particularly)

I put mine away when the ground gets soft.

I personally prefer the simpler lines of the CG15 but CG16 would complement the AP2s well.

Enjoy

BTW. Usual slightly alcohol induced purchase - at a 'can't really go wrong' price?

I have a GG15 64 degree wedge and use it all the time....although it took some getting used to, I wouldn't be without it now.

I don't have a 60* so can't comment loft wise but I do have a CG16 in 56*/10* and it's a great wedge.
I had actually placed an order for a Vokey SM4 before I tried the CG16, once I had I cancelled the SM4 and got the Cleveland.
Brilliant both out the sand and off the turf.

The CG16 is (from Cleveland's website) for higher handicappers looking for a bit of forgiveness in a wedge, which is why the head is slightly larger.

If the wrappers are still on it, why not do what I did and swap it and £10 with a retailer for a 588, a nicer wedge in my opinion. Phone the club first, but if they won't do it, try American Golf or Direct Golf.

The club is now in the bag just been to practice with it and it was amazing used it from every possible lie even bunkers and felt so confident using it its a winner

My LW is a CG16 62[SUP]0's [/SUP]lovely club, great for getting over bunkers, if you go at it full pelt, the ball comes back to earth with angel feathers stuck to it, mind you go at it full pelt then thin it and you might as well have used your 3 wood.

I didn't realise how far I could hit a LW until I thinned a shot airmailed two greens hits a wall which launched the ball into the air and then stopped, after it had finished rolling down the 2nd fairway, some 150yds from the green I was aiming for, I was only 70-80 yds from the green as it was when I took the thinned shot, so ended up double the distance away than from where I started, much to the amusement of all who saw.
