Never tried it and never understood it since moving down here!

Chippy sauce (brown sauce and vinegar mixed) is the way forward.
 
Only time gravy is allowed anywhere near my chips is if it's with Steak & Kidney pie, otherwise it's salt, vinegar & pepper only.....oh and ketchup! :D

Black pepper - another foreign abomination.

Vineger - makes em soggy.

Fried in lard, loads of salt with maybe a slice or two of bread and butter. :cool:

It actually started months ago after stoping smoking.
I could however eat chips every day if they weren't so fattening...... especially home made :)
 
Our club does fantastic chips. Man size basket for £2.00. Unfortunately i am now struggling to get into my 32 inch waist trousers !!! :D :D
