A post this morning mentioned chess, and I thought it strange that I've played online pretty much every day for the last few years and never asked on here if anyone else did.

The site I use is called Gameknot. It's like correspondence chess in that you have a few days to make a move and can play many games at the same time, but you don't have to wait for the postie. :)

Although I subscribe to it, you can play for free if you want to, you just get adverts on the site and can play fewer games simultaneously, have a few less options etc.

Does anyone else play on there, or another online site?

never tried online, I have a couple of sets, one we had custom made for my grandfather who was finding difficulty seeing and holding the pieces so we got a much larger board and pieces made, really brings the game to life- not quite Harry Potter size game.

I'll check out this Gameknot site
