I'm not really sure I have to justify the comment. If you make a big deal about signing off from the forum then you can expect some flack. Every post from the OP has been designed to provoke a extreme response. Just offering my take on this. It's not really about my contribution or lack of, it's about my opinion, are you saying I'm not allowed one?

I think you'll find that the OP has contributed far more in his short time on here. He has stimulated excellent debate and offered his views and objectives on improving his game. The fact that 95% of people decided to slate him and abuse him is testament to his stayability.

Hardly consider myself in that vain. You've only got to look at the comments from the lies of The Craw etc on here to see I'm not everyones cup of tea and I've received my fair share of stick and flak (some of it richly deserved) over my time here. However the crux is I try and offer an opinion on most subjects here and be constructive and subjective enough to see different sides. I've offered my view on 300+ yards being the holy grail to a low handicap as Timmy believes and don't agree with it. I've also had an issue with the fact that all his glory shots etc have come on a range and he hasn't had the "balls" for want of a better phrase to take up a lot of offers from forum members to play on a proper course and put his range technique to the test for real.
He has a right to his ideas and voice them. That is what the forum is about but equally it also allows people to voice their disagreement. The fact that we have this on here is the reason this forum is the best around

Is it really the best around Homer, when a new member is lambasted, ridiculed, abused and slated for offering a different view. Wind up or not he came on here and explained his goals, how he hoped to achieve them, linked a video of his swing. He posted updates and still the mob mentality was shocking.
A few lessons should be learned from this thread and experience.
It is a forum, you are allowed your views however if it gets to the point where all you can post is ridicule or abuse I question whether you have the mentality to be on here.

at the risk of carrying on this thread way past the sell by date,
I appreciate that new forum members need to be welcomed/encouraged, as I myself have been. However when you come on and spout such nonsense there is bound to be a reaction. According to your argument any wild statement can be made without risk of censure.
I respect that you are sticking up for the underdog but I strongly believe that timgolfy is big enough & thick skinned enough to fight his own battles.

quite agree with the craw, until other wise proven, you have to take people on there word, just like a round of golf.
if you dont agree with what is said, be constructive, or ignore it all together, do not be abusive, ask to meet, dont throw gaunlets about.
