Changing energy supply

Been with Spark for a few years. Nothing but praise for the way they dealt with us as a customer. Unfortunately they've got bogged down in their tariffs recently and switching to Tonik is saving up a ridiculous amount, oh and it's guaranteed to be at least 10% green which is good too. Can't wait for the £900 refund from Spark due to over payments :D

Previuosly I was with Scottish Power

I thought the whole point of having a regular DD amount was to build up credit during the summer to cover the higher winter payments. Not according to them, they refunded automatically if the credit level was (in their opinion ) too high.

My only hassle with them (Scottish Power) after switching is finding out the gas smart meter did not actually work and they would not let me put in my own readings to ensure a smooth switch over, still sorting it out 3 months down the line and they are now playing the blame game.

Switching is easy.....init? I'm sticking with Scottish Power. We only pay £50 a month so not worth the mither.

If you are in credit with them you can ask (DEMAND !!!!!) your money back. IT IS YOUR MONEY !!!!
Finally got around to asking British Gas for a refund.
My statement says I am in credit by £550. Online it says another payment has gone in so I am in credit by £619.
I asked for a refund of £550. They said as the payment that is shown online is still on its way and won't arrive until the 5th they can't refund until then and I have to call back and ask again.
The lady asked if that made sense. I said no.

That is why I cancelled my direct debit and went back to quarterly bills for gas and leccy.
To be told your DD is being increased when you're using less is a mickey take. I dont care if it costs a fiver a month more or whatever it is, they've got no chance of me feeding their savings accounts like before.
