I cannot putt to save my life. My main fault is that I tend to turn the club at a (tiny) angle at impact sending the ball off to the right and missing...even the taps ins. I'm starting to think that a centre weighted putter may help me.

Can anyone recommend one?

I have the same but opposite problem. I just picked up a great putter from SugerPenguin on here and found I was almost as bad with that as my previous one. It's face balanced, I only found out about the difference between it and heel toe balance recently. The positives are I love the grip (super stroke) and its 32" which is much better for my short arse.

But yeah, played very well last night but couldn't putt to save my life, I need a toe balanced putter I reckon, sigh.

try gripping it more down up through the lifeline and borrow a putter with a bigger grip out the shop (new scotty or odyssey works) and see what happens. If you like it have a fatter grip fitted.

I play an Odyssey White Hot Pro C/S and love it.

Got it as my pro said it was as close as I'd get in a modern putter to my Acushnet Bullseye. I had problems with my Bullseye as it was so light I'd easy just turn it and push putts - missing loads of short ones. Just doesn't happen anywhere near to the same extent with my new one.

Is the Yes Sandy not already a face balanced mallet? Pretty sure it is so possible not helpful. Face balances would be straight or slight arc stroke, not sure what good it would do for the twisting motion. Probably nothing, surely the answer is find out what's causing the twisting and stop it?

Fatter grip could well be a 'better' option - at least if the swing arc is 'arc' style (Open Gate/Shut Gate).

It tends to take the wrists out of the equation, though that would normally be associated more with a 'pulled' putt than a 'blocked' one! How tight are you gripping? Don't throttle it!

And you'd be surprised how a Putting lesson, or even going back to fundamental setup rules of alignment etc, helps!!
