Just came off one of my best ever rounds and feel like partying :) :D

Gross 86 (par 70) so at my H/C that's a nett 62!! Was not a comp just a round with mates but we played stableford which gave me a score of 44.

After getting my new Burner irons a couple of weeks back I have been working hard to try and keep it all together but not seeing much payback - today makes it worth it all.

This includes a couple of horrors with a 7 on the par 5 4th (was on the tree line with my drive and managed to hit one and end up 30 yards behind my drive!) and also loosing one in the water on my drive on the par 4 - 14th but ending up ok with a 6.

Highlights were straight drives 90% of the round, scoring on every hole, driving the par 4 7th (back wind) and having a putt for an eagle - made birdie. I was also playing green side shots much more consistently which made a massive difference to the score.

Anyway -- I wanted to share the vibe :) :)

The 14th really is your horror hole isnt it!

I will show you how to play it in April!

Congrats on the score btw, how well did you play the par 3s as they are always tricky holes at that course

2nd was a bit of a trial - bunker with the first shot, out to the fringe then 3 to get down for a 5 (1 point)
6th was a peach - par (into the wind also) (3 points)
9th was a 4 for 2 points
13th also a 4 for 2 points so I made my H/C tally for the set:D

All in all pretty happy with those today

Great shooting. Doesn't matter whether it's in competition or not. A good round gives you confidence and belief that you can go and do it again or even better.

Especially if you've left a few out on the course too.

Well done! :D
