Casual Water

The good book's definition is that it must be a 'visible' accumulation of water. I suspect that means you need to be able to see water surface?
How far do you take this? Multiple small puddles in footmarks; very wet sludge or has it got to be a proper puddle?
Current rainy weather making some areas borderline for 'casual' but dangerous

In taking your normal stance - ie no extra foot pressure - if you see water around your shoes then you're in casual water. Often its obvious - ball in puddle = casual water. But you can use the other way if its not immediately obvious.

There's the old urban myth that if you can "get" the water above the soles of your shoes then that's the test!! In reality the rules are fairly clear. "Visible" means just that. If you can see the water you get relief, if you can't then you don't and you must only do what you normally do in taking your stance so you are not allowed to press down to intentionally force water to the surface etc
