Great to hear they've moved the Scottish Open to a links course, now my question is,is it worth a fair drive and the £90 green fee to play it.

Yes guys i've seen all the pictures and it looks good but in your honest opinions is it worth it as i'd love to play it this year.

Looking forward to your honest replies as ever.

I'd say it was. It's visually stunning with 13 or 14 out of the 18 absolutely first class memorable holes, the rest are still decent.

Steve, give me a shout when you're heading up and I'll join you!

Sounds like a plan Del maybe August time, thanks for the replies.

Dodger i like Kingsbarns maybe because i've played well there, probabaly one of the few on here who likes it.

Aztec, yes mate i did see the other post, just looking for an honest opinion.

If you're planning on going up on a weekend, I very well might make the 8 hour car trip up and join you!

You could fly to Inverness mate, save the drive

Not too expensive either.

SK...you live in Dundee - I live in Berkshire.....I wouldn't even be comtemplating whether the 'fair' drive was worth it...I'd be in the car already!! ;)

I would be interested in a wee run in August to play it.

Looking forward to watching it this summer

We have a fourball then? ;)

It sure is we might get some more. Just checked £92 a round against Kingsbarns £185 ,not sure what the residents price is yet but won't be far from the Castle Stuart price.
