Ah but, Steve, what a day to choose. You'll probably have 14 pars in a row again and scoop a golfing holiday with Natalie Gulbis as yer prize.

Or maybe a bag of tees.

Would rather have the tees they'd last longer and would probably be more fun than Gulbis :)

Are we going to wear team colours????
;)

Yes,

Tartan troosers, white polo neck, red V neck slip over and black shoes.

No gloves in the back pocket!

We dont get wind in Scotland, its either a stiff breeze or a gale!

I better post the question and ask who wants to play with Smiffy? I would hate to have to press someone into it so if their is a masochist out there or someone who wants to come off the course with bleeding ears please step forward now! :)

It's never windy up there lads. Well not what you'd call real wind. The Moray Firth has it's own wee micro-climate which involves sun, blistering sun... and a mild zephyr to keep you cool in your shorts.

I produce the following evidence, marked exhibit A, the back of my head last time we played at Nairn. Must remember to wear the full French Foreign Legion style affair in April;-

I'll play with my good buddy Ray Taylor if it's ok with you Crawford
;)

Smiffy, I think that's a fine plan.

Crawford/lads, on a semi serious note for once, I am actually gonna have my mates choose their own team partners at Spey Valley and would hope to pair them up with forumers of fairly similar handicaps so that they're not feeling too stressed trying to keep up with guys far better than them. There's nothing worse than playing off 24 and teeing it up beside someone off 2 to make you self conscious. It is their holiday after all and they're there for fun and a bit of a laugh but Spey Valley will be a chance to mingle and make introductions before the big day on Saturday.

I'll be doing the same at Nairn with all 48 guys. Basically you can choose your own playing partners and tee time according to your needs if you're playing that day. Just let me know if you have a preference, otherwise I'll just draw at random. That way, if you want to play with a particular forumer you get on well with or have never met and want to play with then you have the option.

I think MikeH might be holding a draw for Castle Stuart shortly. I'm actually quite excited about it. How sad am I?
