Jr.'s use them because they don't want to develope back problems in later life. I think its just either ignorance or jealousy to think alone the lines of the quote.

I think people are more likely to develope back problems from taking the easy option and not building up the necessary muscle structure, The majority of trolly users are either scrawny young lads of overweight blokes who could do with a bit of time at the gym. Personally I dont need the gym because my job is lke an 8 hour workout 5 days a week.

I use a trolley and I am not lazy, I fail to see how using a trolley is lazy and only for overweight people, to me that stinks of ignorance and yet again a small minded fool.

can't answer as there isn't an 'always' that I use.
sometimes I carry, sometimes (mainly comps, 36 holers or cr*p weather) I use the electric.

I'm not fond of buggies but will probably be using one in Scotland

Trolley through the summer, carry my stand bag during the winter so I don't have to make 100yd detours round the greens that are marked off and use the pencil bag for "quick knocks" during the summer too.

Trolleys aren't the preserve of fat & lazy, take a look at any good amateur or regional pro event and see how many people carry...not many I can assure you. Even the fittest guy will be more fatigued towards the end of their round if they carry, how much that has an effect on scoring is down to the individual.

must be the old age getting to me.
Will always use a buggie if available.
Did use a pull trolly last weekend, was wacked by the 16th.
Will use in Scotland if they are available.
Our course has stopped buggies for the winter now, so normally just take 6 clubs in a pencil bag.

Always carry.

I often play 36 holes in a day, occasionally without a break, with no ill effects. This despite shoulder back and knee surgery over the years.

Always electric trolley. And Ive never had shoulder back and knee surgery. Hmmmmm!

Gil, go for it with the leccy trolley. I felt exactly the same as you until I bit the bullet and bought one. I can now carry everything in the bag, stuff I'd um and ah about such as will I need the brolley, can I risk taking the waterproofs out and the like. It has changed my game. I'm fitter for the back nine and concentrate better on them holes so my scores have come down. Get one,you won't regret it.

I carry but have been considering a pull trolley.
I would like to get a 'leccy trolley but I've mocked people who use them for so long that I don't think I could take the embarrassment of turning up at the 1st tee with one :o.
(All in jest of course ;))

I was exactly the same and don't regret getting one bit now.

The best bit imo is setting it running just in front of you and walking with nothing to carry or push/pull, just enjoying being outside and the scenery.

I tried pushing and pulling a trolley and thought it was harder work than carrying, with the downsides of having to be careful where you go.

Maybe not, but perhaps prior to finding golf you didn't play national league rugby or race motocross? :D

Always use my hillbilly, during the winter hedgehogs fit perfectly if i remove the tyre from the rim
I got a small carry bag about 18 months ago for the summer evenings when i may only play a few holes, but every time i look at it i think why carry when i don't have to ?
If a course is so bad that a trolley would cause damage i wouldn't be on it anyway, as i have no desire to play in those conditions

At my home club I use a pull trolley, abroad I carry my clubs. I voted for pull trolley as I am not allowed to chose two answers
