Car insurance.....

My lad in his mid 30's driving a ST170 found Sheila's Wheels gave him the best quote! This is with a couple speeding offences to his name plus he works in the motor trade which never helps.. By leaving a former girlfriend as a named driver he saved a further 25 notes...

unable to quote due to ms60.

so after a chat with the lovely lady at the dvla, it seems it could be an admin error between the officer who processed the ticket, and the admin clark and the dvla who imputed the data. I have been advised to speak with the processing unit at maidstone courts to get them to check the records to see what my ticket was actually given for,

Having seen you drive OS i'm suprised anyone will insure you ...... sorry!............ didn't realise it was for a car! It's harder to lose a car up the left in the trees!

Hastings Direct are a shower of shite.
Phone them up for a quote and one of the questions they will ask is "what is the value of your car?"
When you tell them, they immediately respond with "In the event of a total loss we will only pay you the basic trade value of your car"....why the feck did they ask for the value then?????

ive never got this with insurance companies, but was once lucky enough to be on the other end of this. i purchased a van from my uncles mate who done me a storming deal at 1500, insured at said value and i was unlucky enough to have it stolen.

when the agent come round to collect the keys etc as part of the claim, i asked a straight question " ignoring the value ive claimed a vehicle is worth, what do you pay out on "... the lovely lady replied with " market value sir ".... after a phone call to head office she was gutted to advise me that i would be be getting an offer in the region or 3000-4000 as i had under valued the van.

3 weeks later an offer of 3350 come through. thank you very much.

I've been with Liverpool Victoria for the past 5 years and none of the comparison websites ever come close at renewal time.

I've just paid £320 for a Mondeo 2.0L Ghia diesel with HID as a named driver.

Very good with home insurance also.

p.s. I don't work for them.

Just sorted mine today, £269 for my Megane Coupe, £192 for my wife's Clio. £461 for both cars and both named on both policies, full NCB protection, commuting and business use and free breakdown cover for both cars, Direct Line have done a cracking deal
