My wife/ family have bought me some great birthday pressies over the years, I 've done motor racing at Brands Hatch, glider flying, cookery lessons, baloon rides but what did they get me for my 60th???

Only a return flight to Gleneagles for 2 nights, a lesson with a pro followed by a game on the PGA course with the pro, I can't be better pleased!! Arn't they brilliant??

Are you sure there is an airport at Gleneagles Chris ? Did your family mention taking a parachute by any chance.

Superb but I'd try and swap the PGA for the Kings course.

I've not played it since the changes so fingers crossed its made a huge difference. I am jealous though, a fabulous present.

Thanks to you all for your kindness. She went for the PGA because of the Ryder Cup and I am glad she has. Its her 60th later next year and I suppose I had better buy her a new scarf or something nice!

Chris when are you planning to go? I gave up membership there this year due to its poor condition, but hopefully it's better next summer if the weather improves. The Kings is magnificent but its worth playing the PGA as it is the Ryder cup course and the changes have definitely improved it. You can also choose any tee you want incl the championship tees if you want a laugh.

If you're there 2 days you could always do the Kings on their twighlight package.

P.s when you arrive (not before) always ask for a complimentary upgrade

Were going late in May. Thanks for those tips Darth and HID chose the PGA simply to play the Ryder Cup course. I guess , by then it won't be dark until very late so there might be a chance of a late round on the Kings but I suspect a 2 hour evening meal has been planned.
