Can i do it!?!?

The simple answer is yes, there is no reason why you couldn't.

The complicated answer is maybe, I don't want to try and put you off but as previously mentioned its an incredibly tough profession to crack, you need to be able to devote a lot of time (which you seem to be doing :) ) Devoting this much time could have a detrimental effect on your school grades, I would say its equally important if not more important to get good school results as not only will that stand you in good stead for the PGA exams but if for whatever reason it doesn't work out you'll have something to fall back on :) If you're doing gcses like me then you'll have loads of time to practice and play in the summer, so If you put the time in that handicap could really fall by the end of the season :) If its what you want then go for it! :D

Also in terms of lesson prices a set of lessons cost me 100 quid and I got 5 with a 6th one free, I would be very suprised if you were looking at more than 100 quid for a set of junior lessons

Yep and since im year 11 il have study leave too, which means 3 months of uninterupted golf, so i hope it can come down a whole lot the, what you going round in roughly at the moment :)?

Honestly becoming a golf pro is one of the hardest things todo in my opinion. Our junior captain has hopes this year of getting his Handicap down from 5 to 1 or 2 and trying to go pro for a year to 'have the Craic' as he put it. Now he is one of the most naturally talented players that I know and he highly doubts that he has the ability todo it. Combining that with the vast amount of young talented players coming out of the Q Schools recently, (they all look the same!! With similar robotic swings) it would be very hard to break through. But if you are that passionate about it, give it a go and I wish you all the best in your quest. However it would require an extraordinary amount of practice on all areas of your game.

Currently off 16 due to the fact I'm currently in the process of changing my swing.

I wasn't going into anything complex but surely if i was hitting it 200 with a massive slice before, and am now hitting it 230-240 straight with a slight fade i have done something right? im not going to do anything huge by looking at the clips but this is just in the meen time, till my first lesson on the 13th.

The fundamentals of golf aren't complex but you have to get them right. I hope you don't think I am being negative, just trying to point out that this forum is full of people like me, who started playing golf without lessons and got stuck with a lot of faults that I still have trouble getting rid of and are no doubt holding me back from getting any lower.

I really wish you the best in achieving what you want to achieve but as has been said there are already hundreds of kids your age and younger with the same goal who are already playing od low single figures. You have a long way to go to catch them up. I really wish you luck though and keep us posted on your progress
