Can anyone recommend a good GPS device?

Just downloaded my 2.5 for the first time before tomorrows game. Had no problems except when it went to download my course. It said it couldn't find the skycaddie. Unplugged the skycaddie then plugged it back in and all was sorted. Simples

I have had the sky caddie 2.5 for a year and a half with no problems whatsoever. Before reading op I would have strongly recommended this one.

Skycaddie SGX which I generally find excellent. Had a bit of an issue syching with a Windows 7 PC but once that was sorted it's been brilliant.

I don't have a proper golf GPS, but I have an app on my android phone, I'd love to use it, but the battery life isn't the best with all the gear on!!

Has anyone got the garmin g3 approach one? Looking at buying it but dont know anyone that has it lol
