does anyone know what the real difference is. i have heard the pro are slightly more workable yet still suitable for the mid handicapper. apparently the heads are slightly smaller and lower ball flight. cannot find a net resource that compares the two. cheers all.

Callaway Pro or Tour irons generally have slightly smaller heads with less offset. The standard shaft is also likely to be a bit heavier and stiffer. They generally still come out as being pretty forgiving though.

Indeed they do. Even the pro models are easy to hit.
The X-16 was the daddy of forgiveness beating the models either side in downright playability. They are however more chunky and I personally prefer the ones either side.

I went for 18s in the end. It took a while to stop the crazy hooks, but once bedded in, they are superb. I've hit them all (except the very newest) and love them.
