I'm 57 years old and have been collecting golf balls going on for nearly half a century and still get excited when new balls come on the market.i particularly like the new callaway truvis and have found 4 of the white and red ones on 2 local golf courses.im hoping to find the yellow and black and the white and pink.are the truvis a limited edition ball?

I think they were to be originally but they've been so popular I believe the Trucks accounts for something like 20% of all Callaway ball sales....

I use them. It's nice to see the spin round the green and the roll on putts. Not sure that they're quite as solid off the putter as a prov1. They're definitely better than the callaway rocks of blessed memory.

The yellow/black ones are really hi-vis. Good for autumn/winter.

Found one of these recently, haven't used it yet but chucked it in my bag.

What's the thinking behind the football print? Is it actually meant to benefit in some way or just a novelty?

When they first came out - on AD333s a few years back - the theory was that the pattern made the ball look bigger and helped you see the spin on the ball.
When you putt with one you can definitely see the initial skid after impact
I use one from time to time and it kind of works.. certainly doesn't do any harm....
The yellow/black ones are easy to find as well!

I have a dozen of the red/white and yellow/black. I used the original truvis srixon ball which were blue/white and they still do look like they are standing proud from the turf. What I have found is that the red/white ball seem harder to find than a normal white ball. You really need to be quite close to it to be able to see it . But the yellow balls are the complete opposite really easy to see. Will keep the red/white ones for the summer. Don't really notice a difference with putting.

I just can't see how a yellow ball that is 25/30% black can be easier to find than an all yellow ball, especially this time of year when mid is easily picked up as the ball lands

I think it's the contrast between the bright yellow and the deep black.
Doesn't blend in with either dark or yellow leaves...
Plus it's not quite as bad as using an all yellow ball....🤔

I use them and they do show spin be it chipping or putting, not tried the yellow and black balls only the red and white and my daughter uses the pink and white. I think I will put the yellow and black on my xmas list .

Putting aside any issues with finding the ball, which are pretty personal, I used one and immediately noticed that it encouraged me to put a better roll on all my putts - and this was before I knew what it was supposed to do!

I like the chrome-soft anyway, and others in that family, so it's definitely the ball I would chose to play (if I had any in the bag). The one downside of not buying balls is when people are inconsiderate enough not to leave the ones you want lying around the course!

The pattern has been tested and apparently makes the ball appear 7% larger.

I got a box of the red and whites and just found them a lot more difficult to see in the rough and that was in summer. Not bothered since.
