Tried this but got bored with it

I looked at them more as exercise aids for golfers rather than training aids to assist with the swing (a bit like strapping leg/wrist weights on for any number of sports) with that in mind at least you know you're working the exact muscles you would use in your golf swing as opposed to just using wrist weights

I have the weighted swing trainer. I don’t use it much but it’s useful when on conference calls at home. I like the moulded grip as I have a tendency to weaken my grip so it gets me back on track. I’m pretty sure it helps with the take away and backswing but really because it works the muscles.

Harvey Penick advised all golfers should have a heavy club to exercise the proper golf muscles and to practice his slow swing. That's why I got one but not sure it has worked.
