Call of duty: modern warfare 3

Went out and bought the new xbox 250gb with the kinect for the two wee fellas for xmas! ( have the ps3 but only for blu-rays) Got them the kinect sports 2 so i can play the golf but more importantly told the better half to get me mw3 for xmas. Cant wait although battlefield does look good!
 
Seen that I can get it for under a tenner if I trade in Batman at HMV so that is where I am off to tomorrow
 
I have the will power and patience of a 6 year old. Was sick of hearing about it from all my mates so went out and bought it from Tesco for £25 last night (after I'd eventually found a copy). Actually cost me £41.99 but £16.99 was for 2100 Xbox live points which we were going to by HID's brother for his birthday anyway...Winner. :D

Had a 20 minute bash on MP last night after I got in from training and I have to say it picks up where MW2 left off. Not really much different but MW2 is easily my favourite multi-player game ever, so I'm happy. Maps are great and generally loving it again. I can see me losing my life to this again very, very soon.

My copy arrived yesterday and I played up to Sierra Leone last night. Excellent stuff and the Sierra Leone level was the best. Really accurate depiction and loved the scoped rifle!
 
MP is exactly the same as MW2!

Apart from grenades :(

The number of times I've flashbanged someone chucked a grenade in the another flashbang and they are still alive is driving me insane.

Oh an quickscoping is far too deadly, on MW2 you could survive a body shot on MW3 it's a one shot kill with sniper rifles.
 
Had a quick go on the PC last night. It is basically MW2 but with a few tweaks. (e.g. dedicated server browser for the PC version).

There's a new MP gametype that is quite good fun. I think it's called 'kill confirmed' where after you kill someone you have to collect their dogtags to confirm the kill. The other teams can stop you getting the dogtags by collecting them first. It's quite a good way to stop people hanging back sniping which often happened in MW2.
 
I started it last night on eggsbox, picked it up for a tenner in HMV when I traded in Batman.

So far so good, yes similar to the previous ones but great fun.
