Just seen the BBC news and noticed that a British sub has just ******* a merchant ship putting a nice fat dint in the conning tower. Suffice to say hope the captain had fully comp.

That aside seeing as we have just voted to replace trident and our one sub that was at sea ( the others are having maintenance on them) is now being repaired by dentmaster. Does this not leave us a bit vulnerable for the future if a trawler can wipe out your future defence.

It wasn't a Vanguard that was damaged - it was Astute class HMS Ambush which doesn't carry Trident

At least the "state of the art" navigation systems appear to have improved since 2010 when HMS Astute crashed into the isle of Skye. 😂

Cheers phil, just had a quick look on Wikipedia, the HMS Ambush was commissioned on the 1st March 2013 so it is out of warranty, also it has a stealth mode which someone must of forgot to turn on, so they are in for an ear bending as well.
Seven are being built, first three at £1,160 million each and the next four at £747 million each 😳
