Just over a week from Fury v Usyk, no sign of a postponement so far 🙂

Having generally swerved the PPV options, am wondering if this one might live up to the hype. Is anyone else hovering on the fence? 😁

Just been listening to talksport and the boxing correspondent talking about the fight - they were very critical of the event being in Saudi

It’s in Riyadh where it will be just 20k spectators with most of them not really interested in the fight and there for the occasion

Whereas if the fight in Wembley- 90k watching with 90% boxing fans

Or the O2 , or any stadium in the US

It’s a shame that the money is putting fights there

Yup. We all know the real fans, in many sports now, are second fiddle to the big ££££ offered by organisations/countries.

Away from Usyk v Fury, I enjoyed another superb display from Inoue. He's probably my favourite boxer and in the top 3 of pound-for-pound.

I'm also looking forward to Taylor v Catterall in a few weeks. Taylor frauded a decision that night a few years ago and with both boxers hating each other, should be tasty.

Inoue has some power doesn't hee. Did well after going down in round 1 for his first ever knock down but after that he looked awesome

Remember, the demise of professional boxing started with the fragmentation of the governing bodies. Same is happening in golf right now.

Hopefully we'll never see Rory v Random Youtuber 🤣🤣🤣
That crap is already there, Jimmy Bullard v Tommy Fleetwood etc etc etc

Fortunately people aren’t paying good money to watch that

There is a $2mil VIP package to watch Tyson vs Paul , ringside tickets hitting $60k and it’s a $20mil purse

It’s madness
The $20m is apparently what Tyson will be getting, not the purse.
Well that’s if you believe Henry Cejudo.

Rory Vs @Crow with a set of hickories…..

I've never visited this thread but when an alert popped up I had to take a look.

It would be good to have a star on the channel, especially one from the persimmon era.

But even with hickory Rory would be blasting it 300 yards after a few swings. (Assuming they could find a shaft strong enough ;) )

I've succumbed. Went the Amazon route. Sense of foreboding there might be a manufactured "lets do it again for more $ draw", or some kind of controversy/DQ. Hopefully not.
