they will only look after the boiler and possibly any worcester external controls (room stat/programmer). if its piece of mind you want then a maintenace plan is the way to go. which model do you have

need to look it up.. But i think it is a Worcester Greenstar 24i Junior... It is about 5 yrs old.

Brookesy>> We put it in a full system when we moved into the place, so the rads, flue etc. Ripped out the old hot air system. There is a magnetic/granite or similar set of disc attached to the pipes in the loft.

Ok i wouldnt think it needs a flush then tbh, 5 years is really not a long time and as long as chemicals were added to the system when it was first filled there should be minimal sludge build up :)

Sounds like you could already have one installed in your system, as long as its located on the heating pipes it probably is a magnetic filter.

Got into the loft today, and the pressure has dropped past the 'green' lines and into less than 1 bar. so it looks like there is something funny happening. Before I topped it last week, it was about the same pressure. So it is not dipping below this mark.

We have BG's homecare 100,for £13 a month (i think). It is a fantastic service. We dont have a worcester boiler, we have a sime (pron. simmy).it was in the house when we bought it. I know they are far from the best. Had prices to the replace boiler, but, why would i pay for a new one when BG will replace every single part when reqd? new PCB a couple of weeks ago.
Topping up twice a year sounds a bit of a "pipe" dream to me.:D:D:D

When the boiler is switching on from cold is the pressure raising dramatically, say from 1.5 bar to 3 bar in the first 10 mins.

If so the Expansion vessel could be at fault.
