Might be played to the same rules, but definitely not the same Golf! You suddenly see how different these guys actually are - even if they are only 'playing for fun'!

Like trying to equate Sunday Pub League with Premiership Football!

@Imurg. I was Scorer for that group. Quiros was really quite impressive - though couldn't convert enough to birdies. His tee shot on 15 with JK or Di's particularly - and the equivalent on 12 (5-wood from 245 round the trees to 10 ft!)! I have a cap with that group's autographs if you want?

I think guest100718 is referring to the 'celeb' amateurs who hack it around with the pro's

He must play with a pretty poor bunch then!

Apart from the likes of Henman, Hansen and a couple of others, most are indeed 'hackers'!

Though Jodie Kidd has a great swing (specially off the tee) for a 24-capper!

Shevcenko was pretty decent too, but yes I meant the Celebs are a bunch of hackers in the main.

I've been to the PGA Wentworth for the last 6-7 years and always went on the Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyed it but this year going on the Wednesday Pro-Am. for a change.

Couple of reasons for the change :

As there are more and more people going now it's not so easy to get a good view.

It is more expensive year on year.

Will be good to see the players in a more relaxed atmosphere, and maybe have a bit of banter.

As for not seeing all the field - well, there are only a certain amount of Pro's you can follow in one day anyway.

So, looking forward to something different this year and liking the less expensive bit!
