Blood donors - a dying breed?

I used to donate when at Uni, but gave up for a while after a bad experience with a needle, as my veins are quite hard to get to apparently.

Now I'm in Bude the blood donation staff here are excellent, and I have no problems visiting. Just got my bronze card!! :)
