Block paving sand

Having spent the last couple of days cleaning the block paving in front of the house (not a drive), I'm about to resend.
How do folk get it to stay in

I have just finished mine and I used Sika dampened it first then brushed it in with a soft brush, took a couple of days to harden fully but it was easy and simple.

I used Sika on our patio with fairly wide gaps between the slabs, but kiln dried sand on our monoblock driveway which has very small gaps. Brushed in and then gone over with a vibrating plate compactor which allows the sand to settle and firm up.

I've got that but, it's getting it to stay there

It should just drop into the gaps , doesn't take loads and you will have lots just stay on the top just keep sweeping
