Blinking weather

I can relate to Smiffy here......
This weekend coming will be the 5th weekend in a row that i havent hit a ball......The weather over here in Ireland has been mental for the last month....

I was only saying to my dad last month i dont know why some players just hang up there clubs for the winter i couldn't do that id have to get my weekly fix.....

Now i think i understand! :D

I only hope as a newbie that learning to play in the winter months will gear me up nicely for the spring. Only need the elements to be kind enough to let me get on the blinking course!!!

Homer I've got the same issue as you with the putting green. Do you have a rake at your club? We don't at mine but if we did I wouldn't mind spending five minutes raking for one hour putting practice.

Forecast for Sunday is looking a little more promising so I may get the chance to get out for a knock.
I expect Highwoods will be on temps after the rain we've had here recently, so may well venture down to East Brighton for a game. Mate of mine played there recently and reckoned it drained really well and had some good holes on it.
Fingers crossed.....

Winter golf is a world away from summer golf, you need to play different shots, you loose yardage and the greens can be a nightmare. I too can understand people who lay up their clubs for winter, the only reason I am playing is to keep the swing flowing at the moment.

Got a texas scramble on Sunday so not too fussed how I play or too a ceratin degree what the weather does. I've a lesson on Friday night and so will no doubt be spending Saturday at the range trying to get it into the memory bank. At least the bays are heated!

Cannot believe the wind and rain we had here early this morning. I've never heard anything like it. The noise it made woke me up about 4.20am and I couldn't get back to sleep.
Absolutely hosed it down. I'm going to be a bundle of laughs at work today....
