i just seen a thread on here asking if you are a good golfer and putting people in brackets but i really can't tell if its a serious thread or not, there are definitely serious comments, this is my second whole season playing, and i feel now I'm just learning how to play golf as a whole, on good days i can out drive the best, out chip them and out putt them, I'm trying now to find a way to put all that into one round, and its seriously hard! Golf isn't an easy game its one of the hardest things i have ever tried to succeed at, i started this season as a 28 handicap player, wasn't afraid to take on the shots you see on tv, anything over a par 3 the driver was coming out just the usual club golfer type stuff, now i feel i have rained that mentality in a lot and fortunately my handicap has dropped a lot in the last 8 weeks I'm now playing off 23 (23.4) yet to break 90 but its coming.

so basically for all you 28 handicappers don't just go to the range play the game you have invested in and if you just want to hack at a weekend enjoy it don't listen to what anybody else has to say. and for all the elitists go join murryfieldScreen Shot 2016-07-07 at 08.34.18.jpg

Ach dry them, im off 12 and rubbish. Handicaps who cares i just play golf. Its meant to be fun. Im always playing to beat the course, still to break 80 one day it will happen. But in the mean time im rubbish until i do

bugger now I'm miffed at apple why would it change muirfield to murryfield? and I'm pissed at the folk saying pretty much high handicap players should only practise

Dont worry about it, ignore the golf snobs.

Don't worry, I play rubbish still, can hack with the best.

I quite like the hacking part and enjoy anyones company on the course.

My wife has been playing for a while and now weekly and she is still a 115 plus player, but I love it, always give me a good laugh the good and bad shot. On the other side I love playing with better people as I think wow they are so much better than me and that's whats wrong with my game.

Golf is almost the only sport, you can play someone better or worse than you in a head to head and still have a game, and really is a game against yourself. Not many sports are like that,

Happy days, keep enjoying the game and don't worry.

Our swindle has HC ranging from 28 to 5 - we all play on comps and treated equally

You will always gets a minority who believe that you can only play on a golf course below a certain HC but they are snobs and very much the minority and I wouldn't let them spoil your enjoyment of the game
