Now clearly he played a lot more rounds than a lot of the 'stars' of the PGA Tour (as he didnt rank first in birdie averages in any of them years IIRC), but what an outstanding stat for someone who has never won a PGA Tour Event.

Ive had a little e/w bet at 50/1 for the Wyndham this week..why not?

On the PGA this year, Rory averages 4.65 birdies per round

Theres a difference between total birdies and birdie average

EDIT - Last year when de jonge had most birdies, it was Phil Mickelson with an average of 4.22 b/r which was number 1 in the birdie average stats.

I think even at our level, we all have a run of pars (net birdies) and then chuck in the bad ones to offset these and he seems to do much the same
