It's nice bike, carbon forks so that will make the ride a bit smoother. If it's for general commuting etc then it's ideal and good value. Boardman bikes have been getting some pretty good reviews and this is certainly as good as anything else available at the same price. My personal choice would be to go with drop habdle bars as they offer more hand positions (for comfort) and are a bit quicker, but this is a good bike, especially through the B2W scheme

All of the info above is bang on but I do think you could get something comparable for less money.

I am a pure racing bike nut.

Spent thousands on my road bike.

1st of all top marks for looking to leave the car and pedal to work.
I did it before I started working from home for myself,somehow it is just a lot more satisfying to get there under your own steam.
Great for your fitness,health and general well being as well

I have recently been looking at hybrids to attach a baby seat on the back for family bike rides.

Like you say though with the bike to work scheme why not treat yourself,its a very solid machine!
