Best Way To Keep Cats Off My Lawn?

Have you seen said cats on your lawn? Cat's are very clean animals they will in your flower borders then bury it.

I'm not certain I know what a cat looks like when ing but it sure looked like it the other day. Also we don't have any flowers etc just grass right to the fence. Perhaps it's moreso when the grass is long (this was first cut of the year).

To other dog suggestions:
Cat is in the garden, dog is in the house barking at cat. Owners go mad with the barking.
Cat is in the garden, dog goes out into the garden. Cat is too quick, jumps on top of the 6ft fence and looks down at dog with contempt. Dog barks with irritation at again being outwitted. Owners go mad with the barking.
Cats are too quick for dogs. They may avoid their gardens in the day when they are around but at night they will be in your garden strutting their stuff, having a cat party. It is how cats work.

I have a dog flap into my conservatory, for which my Staffy (s) used very regularly any time of dau or night. Cats didn't dare enter, as he would scare the life out of them every time. He was quick and quite big. I have plenty of tell tale claws marks from cats tyring to escape in an emergency manner
Once cats know there is soemthing that will chase/kill them they are very much more reluctant to go there.
And yes, cats will crap in longish grass quite happily

I do get your point, I was trying to add a bit of humour into this. No animal puts itself at risk, they all have a survival mechanism.

A dog in an enclosed space reduces the advantage of the cat, get back out in the garden and the cat is king again though.

You don't put the cat on a lead as well?
I have quite a big garden, but the cats usually only just made it out and over the 6ft fence on the 3 sides
Trust me when I say my last Staffy was king of his garden.....anything with legs not allowed in was fair game...and often was

Many years ago I bought my missus a kitten for her bday.
The only cat I’d ever had the “pleasure“ of seeing regularly before was an ex’s and she was evil (the cat).
So I bought a small book on how to raise/train your kitten. To this day I’ll never forget section two.

Discipline:
A small water pistol is a good deterrent for repeated bad behaviour e.g. Biting electrical wires.

We got a few of the alarms that emit a noise only animals can hear. Worked for a few weeks but wasn't a long term deterrent. We have a lot of cat poo in our flower beds and HID has found orange peel acts as a reasonable deterrent. We also got some lion dung of Amazon which again worked for a while until the scent disappeared. Expensive option
