Best round for 18 months today!!

Took the young un round our local course today, his first attempt at it and i had a blinder!!!

I've been struggling to play to 22 for ages now and havent played to 22 for about 18 months, today that all changed

I hit a 91, nett 69 round a par 70 course today but for the first time in an absolute eternity, i really felt like i was striking the ball well, especially my irons. I seem to have got back the accuracy i lost with my irons a while ago and played 4 or 5 blinding approach shots today, the pick of the bunch being a 175yd 6 iron into the last green to about 6ft away but then i pushed my putt on the high side. Still it was par on S.I 2 so i was well pleased with that.

Just to put this into context, i played the same course on Wednesday afternoon and shot 108

I wanna go round again now, this has restored my faith that i can actually play the game a bit!!!

Well done. I've gone the other way from striking it well last week to hitting it poorly today with any number of swing faults. I hit it poorly yesterday at the range and put it down to a bad session but it may be more serious.

Similar to you Homer, except i've not regained my swing from pre-winter. Today's range session capped it-shank after shank and snap hooks. I left in utter disbelief. I usually can figure out where I'm going wrong, but at the moment my swing feels alien but I can't pinpoint what I'm doing wrong. Soul destroying.

Excellent feeling fella!!

Even my driver was working fairly well today, only hit 5 fairways but i was there or there abouts with the rest of them, and only stuffed 1 into the trees and that was on the first.

I've realised that i've been putting too much weight onto my toes and that i'm on the balls of my feet too much, sat back and planted my feet more today and hey presto!

good score, i played today only nine holes didnt do to bad, but i played the other day on a new course and shot a 96 which i was happy with

Nothing better than swinging the club with total confidence!
Don't get too caught up on the technicals on the course...i've had two teachers tell me different things-balls of feet and the other said sit back on the heels, whatever works for you!
