Although the OP said it's £150 per head and the typical "stay and play" at the Grove is £458 per room - not that far Of course, minus the dinner and the second round but plus access to the spa ))Stuey01

Whilst that may be true, it does at least fit the brief. Good luck getting many of the others for 2 rounds dinner bed and breakfast at the weekend for £150.

Might be pushing the 2 hours from London just a little but I'd highly recommend Thorpeness, excellent course and a decent hotel with great food.
