Best middle of the range ball?

The new AD333s, cannot fault at all! Cheap and reliable.

Either that or the wilson range, the FGs are a bit expensive but the ones below that are all good balls.

One other option is some Bridgestones, they have got good reviews on here!

I used a taylormade burner today for the first time, and I really rate it! I have been using TM penta, but got some of these free... I might pick some more up! Ad333's feel really hard to me!? I suppose it's a massively personal thing...

Srixon AD333 are great 2 piece balls.

I was given some Taylormade Burner Tour balls but found them to be very clunky and ditched them into the practice bag.

I would of agreed AD333 but i have played recently the lower priced Srixon distance ball ( red box ) and i must admit its a fine ball in particular at winter time, worth a try at £9 a dozen

AD333s are good, but even cheaper and I think equally as good are the Nike PD (power/distance) soft. They are only about 13 quid for a dozen and can sometimes get three boxes for the price of two if you shop around. I used to use them as a winter ball until last year

I'd go along with the suggestion of the AD333's but I personally found the Nike PD Softs scuffed up quite a bit.
One of my favourite "mid range" balls are the Wilson Staff DX3.
£13.00 per dozen here....

Really nice ball, good distance off the tee (yeah, like I'd know!), and a really nice feel for putting and chipping.
Highly recommended.

This. Contrary to most on here i really don't like the ad333. Never really got on with any srixon balls.Wilson dx3 are as good as it gets for the money.

+1 for that!

I used to play with the FG tours when I was at my peak, my irons flew higher and stopped quicker than with the AD333s and my drives didnt suffer with extra spin either!

I only played with the FG tours though because I won a bucket of pro shop vouchers and bought up 3 boxes!

I lost a fair few though as I wound down my game in august and started spraying the driver a bit but I really did not care too much as they were essentially "free". I also played a course I did not know and lost 5 balls in one round due to hitting it too far out the back of fairways! Drove 3 greens in that round and still only shot +14 over par! Later on I shanked round a 9 hole pitch and put and lost another 3 :o

Not a fan of AD333's- know they are a good ball as they get a lot of love on here but i would go for the Wilson's.

I think if you are unsure then its a good idea to get with a couple of buddies and each buy a dozen of teh ones you ahve your eye on, say Ad333's Wilson DX3 and a bridgestone or Titleist.

Then just share a sleeve with each of you and play with them all over the next few games, you will quite quickly fine the one you prefer.

Then stick with it!

I'm not sure how long they have been made but they have got more popular in the uk in the last few years.

I can recommend Wilson Staff DX2 & Bridgestone E6 for mid range balls
