Afternoon all
For those who are playing in the Belfry event I have sent out an email to the address you supplied with provisional tee times - can you check your inboxes to make sure you have received it
cheers

Yes Mike, mine received thanks....our group are really looking forward to the day.

Maybe we will have to have our own mini Ryder Cup match (the other two now residing in the US) with Alex joining the 'European' team!

I hope Alex doesn't wonder what he has got himself into ;)

Yep, got mine. Don't recognise who I am playing with (apart from Jezz), but I suppose that is the point. It will add to the mystery on the day.

Got mine cheers Mike & really looking forward to it.

Glad I'm quite local though, it's rare I see 8.40am if I'm not at work!

Gil, you're in one of the marquee groupings! A chance to post a good score and sit back and see if anyone can beat it!

Neil - I looked at moving your group back but to be honest to keep some sort of handicap order it wasn't that feasible

let me know if it's a big issue and I can see what I can do

Last time I did that was at Crowborough, and I was late. Very late. Left in plenty of time (well over 3 hours for a two hour journey), stopped for brekkie, and then never really got out of 2nd gear after that.

M42 is never too clever, whatever time of day it is.

I'll bear that in mind Murph, and might even end up having beaky at the Belfry.

BTW A couple of mates are coming to your track soon for a black on black or some Pro-am thing soon.....the next week or so.

I am in the last group out on both days and have the undoubted honour of playing with Mikeh on the first day. Looking forward to it already.

pretty relaxed for me, late starts both days so camera out for the early birds.

greg, it'll be good to meet at last, I've pm'd Mike with the handicap cut (hoping for another from next Wednesday's medal). I guess Mike will be looking to repeat his longest drive from Ascot.

hapless' and I are together both days - I'm catching you up hh, chipped in from over 50 yards this evening (no one to applaud of course).

Twire - Back on black is a monthly comp at The Grove off the back (black tees). It is a good comp, on a really nice track, they will enjoy it (ask if they birdied stroke index 1, the 3rd - I did off the blacks). Sadly this isn't my track, just next to where I live, as they don't have members at all. I am at West Herts, which butts up to The Grove.

Unfortunatley the way I've been playing of late it won't take long for someone to beat my score!

I had a 94 at my old club a couple of weeks ago

Ahh Back on Black is it, I must of misheard. I know he mentioned the Grove, which is where I thought you played. I think he's playing it in the next week or so. You'll be able to ask him yourself about the birdie on the 3rd as he's coming up to the Belfry with me.

Yep. Got your e-mail Mike. Just to confirm. A double is required by my good lady and I.

On another matter, I've had a significent h'cap change. But I think I'll PM you regarding that!

Viscount. What's the form on total balls lost over two days? Thinking about it, I reckon we should limit it to a couple of holes per day! It could get expensive for me.

Only if you use Pro-V's or Z-Stars.

How about a sweep for total lost balls by everyone, on each day, keep it down to a couple of quid a time and get everyone in on it. win and you're looking at recouping the losses.
Either that or just balls lost on 10 and 18.

Hi All

Haven't been on the forum for what seems like months (it probably is) but I am still alive and really looking forward to meeting up with you at The Belfry.

Hopefully we'll miss this glorious British summer that is now being predicted and catch the weather on one of its off days (i.e hot and sunny). On that note, is it just me or does a "mis-forecast for a hot summer" have conspiracy all over it, designed to make us poor Brits boost the economy by staying at home.

Discuss!!!
