Hi Bratty and Paul. I was going to play with my regular partner at Blackmoor, but if it is alright to bring him along, we would love to play. Paul will probably remember Jeremy from the Blackmoor Meet, but no mention of that chip in please. Rich

I'm still in the office in Dublin! Golf seems like a paradise compared to this hectic week! Would love to see you and Jeremy on Sunday Rich but don't know what Bratty has sorted out - I need to get back to work now!! Cheers.
Paul

Make sure you work hard Paul, so you can afford the Bearwood Lakes subs !!

No problems if Bratty has had a better offer, as we can still slum it at Blackmoor.:)

Rich - no one slums it round Blackmoor - it is a superb course, with a really challenging last hole that can make life impossible for ordinary golfers if they get out position - it sometimes warrants magic just to say on the green!!!

Looking forward to seeing you soon - promise I won't mention "that" shot!

WHat shot was that Paul - go on tell us ;)

This could get tricky...
"Dave the Slice" has responded to Bratty's request on the Magic forum!
:D
Not tricky at all... Rich posted 30 minutes before Dave, so he's in if he can make it still. :p

Rich, pm sent.

What a great game, on a fantastic course. Bearwood Lakes gets better every time I play it, and the greens were superb and just the right pace for me. Not sure I would have fancied them the day before if the were running at 11.5 on the stimp Paul. Thanks so much for the hospitality, and it was nice to meet up with you at last Simon.

The Blackmoor boys grabbed an unlikely half with two nice birdie putts on 16 and 17 and a par putt on 18. No one likes to see someone three putt the last, when two putts would have won the game Simon.:) I am also not sure about someone who hits a 6 iron off the tee on a driveable par 4, although your second shot to a foot was not bad, and well worth a half.:p

Jeremy says thanks as well Paul, and we will be pleased to take you on again at our place, assuming no mention of that 8 and 6 !! Thanks again for the game guys.

Great fun as always Rich - make sure you have more than 2 puts and shoot worse than -2 for the last 3 holes next time please!!What a nice end to a round and a deserved half. Looking forward to a rematch soon

This is so gay.
One man's gay is another man's... well, gay, I guess, but you're just jealous, Murph!

Great day out, lads. Thanks to Paul for hosting and to Jeremy for making sure Richard was able to make an 11.10 tee time! :P

Bearwood is a stunning-looking course, which plays long (when you can't hit driver well every time). Greens were really good (not too fast thankfully) and true, and the bunkers had some good sand in them, in spite of the rain the night before.

Highlights of the round were the 7th (lovely hole) where I clattered off a tree just in front of the tee, but the ball somehow rebounded forwards on to the fairway (to howls of derision and complaint from the Blackmoor Boys), and Paul's shot on the par 3 15th, which was going way, way left, until it hit the cart path and bounced back on to the green! Oh, and my 6 iron/PW combo to 2 foot on 17th was nice!

Cheers all and looking forward to Blackmoor.

I had forgotten that drive on the 7th. :( Paul's shot that hit the cart path 20 yards left of the green, and then bounced back onto it was taking local knowledge to extremes. Think he was so embarrassed that he felt obliged to three putt. No cart paths at my place Simon.:)
