I use BBC Radio player during the day when working. For some months now it loads and plays OK to start with but after a while (45 mins or so) it starts to 'drop out' and buffer without a "buffering" message or spinny wheely thing (sorry to get technical).

Eventually it gives up the ghost and goes silent after sometimes having gone at least 5-10 minutes out of sync behind the live transmission. I then have to reload it but only after multiple attempts to close the radio window down. It's driving me crackers.

I'm listening on a Microsoft Source Pro 3 on Internet Explorer 11 with high speed fibre broadband. On all other devices using the same wi-fi connection this problem does not occur. Anyone have the same problem or know the cause?

That's funny. We're having the same issue at work. We thought it was just the I.T. dept. cutting all streams after a period of time.

Looks like it's a problem at the BBC.

I have been having the same problems, just thought it was my machine. I was listening to Radio 2 and it was fine for a while then it would just stop. If I closed the app down and restarted it, it worked fine.
Been doing that since last week.

Update.

Have hunted around the Internet and found a page where the Beeb says (back in November) it is aware of this issue and is working on it with Microsoft to try and find out what the cause is and rectify it.

Need to get its finger out I say...
