BBC iPlayer and Chromecast buffering

Just wondered if anybody uses BBC iPlayer with a chromecast? I keep getting a lot of buffering/pausing when streaming. I don't seem to have any problems with other streaming such as YouTube etc, it just seems to be with iPlayer. Searched around google, and found other people with similar problems, but cannot seem to find a fix or reason for it

Not tried that, but have on several other devices and feel iplayer is one of the poorest apps out there.

The Beeb execs had a massive luv in with apple (even with the app name), so wouldn't be at all surprised if they focus 90+% of their efforts on that OS.

Same here, don't use it because it's so bad. I have decent connection speeds as well (100+ Mbs).

Yeah, exactly the same I am finding. Was watching BBC Breakfast this morning .. and after an hour of the program, with the buffering it was showing 5 mins behind the actual time
