Bang goes our Oxfordshire trip..

Well, Fragger, CVG and me were to play the Oxfordshire tomorrow but they still have snow on the fiarways and they're prediciting -7 or so tonight so it'll be rock hard even if they opened.
Even my place was shut today, as were the other courses around. Temperatures are just not getting high enough to thaw and with another cold snap it could be a while before we get out again...

Had you paid in advance or just made the booking. I'm sure it won't be a hassle getting another time. Would you really want to play somewhere like that in lottery conditions anyway if it was open

Not paid anything so not lost anything.
Even at 100 quid for a 4-ball (one of CVG's mates is making it up) it's not worth it at the moment.
We're going to try the last week of Feb - offer runs out on 29th.........

I f***ing hate snow. With a passion! total pain in the a*** when you don't have kids/are a commuter/play outdoor sports like golf (not skiing before some smarta*** says something, Smiffy!).

wise choice not playing, its baltic outside already! I am already dreading driving tomorrow let alone playing golf

am sure you will get to play when the weather is feeling a tad kinder (and the course will no doubt be in decent nick)

-5°C tonight here according to the BBC Weather site, with highs of 1°C midday Wednesday. Not sure if i'll bother playing, but I know I will be bored and will probably get out!
