After todays round playing with my dad and a friend they have decided i'm no longer allowed to play off 28 when i play with them.

I don't actually have a official handicap but i roughly play to around 27-28 handicap and so does my dad and his friend but today i had a blinder 95 gross and 40 points stableford. Scored 24 points on the front 9 and gave myself a chance of atleast a par put on every hole up to the 10th and had a couple of stupid 3 putts on the front 9 so it could have been alot better.

Lost it abit on the back 9 as they were both having nightmares so it kinda made me relax too much and loose my concentration but im still really happy that on the front 9 everything started to feel right and i was hitting the shots i was picturing i wanted to hit.

My first few rounds of this year have been so much more consistent and now i have the belief i can start to really lower my handicap.

Anyway thats enough bigging myself up, im off to celebrate with a guinness or 2. :)

I am in a similar position when playing with my mates in a friendly. I have to negotiate my handicap on the first tee and can be anything between 16 and 18 depending on how well I have played in previous weeks.

So you are now not officially 27.2 then :)

Haha, thats just taken from an online handicap tracker i use that i add my rounds to when i play a new course or i play with other people that aint just a knockabout.

But i do think i may have to start knocking some shots of soon if i keep playing well otherwise no one is going to want to play me before long as i keep taking there money! haha :)

Oh, Darlington. If you need new golf partners, get yourself to the Arrange a Game section. :)

Yeah will have to sort out some local games soon but the problem is i don't drive so it's abit of a nightmare sometimes.

I'm going on to continental shifts in a weeks time so i'll no better then when i'm going to be free to play.
