BALLS - Taylormade Burner TP v TP Red

I've been playing the Burner TPs (not the basic Burner, but the TP version) for a while now and really like them. They go well off the driver and cross winds don't seem to affect the flight much - a good thing - and they're pretty good around and on the greens. Not as soft as some but a good compromise.

Now, i have no reason to change, but i've been considering trying out the TP Red and seeing if i get anything extra from that ball.

Has anyone used both balls for any length of time and can you comment on what you feel the major benefits/downsides are if any?

The TP red will give you more spin and can bite as good as a Pro V IMO but don't last as long as the burner. It's supposed to go lower than a black but you would need to be good to notice the difference.

well, i just picked up 2 dozen TP red from Nev. Bobs in Edinburgh for £40. If i don't get on with them, i'll just sell the other dozen on ebay and won't lose anything. I'll put in a comparison report in the reviews section once i've played a round or two with them.
