One or two may remember a couple of plaintive posts frm me about the horrors of golf / tennis elbow.

Got it on the 13th July (funny how you remember dates like that) and finally got past it today.... played my first 18 holes since then....rubbish but hey, at least I was there on the course!

If you are unlucky enough to get this malingering condition, get a good physio and stop playing immediately. Mine told me that had I not sought treatment and carried on I could have been out fro 12 -18 months.

Anyway,,,,, good to be back

Welcome back 9 weeks without a round must've been pure hell.

Good avatar too ;)

I feel your pain....literally!
I had a bout of tennis elbow a good few years ago now, if I remember rightly it took about 6 months or so to ease properly. Hadn't been bothered with it again until fairly recently and am now having to strap my right forearm up because of it. By the sounds of it it's not quite as acute as yours has been, but it is driving me mad.
Even picking up a cup of tea is painful and I've really got to rest it.
My driving is not too bad, but my iron play is really suffering and I'm getting no zip or distance at all as I'm holding back from really hitting into the back of the ball. I know that if I take it a little too heavy it's going to hurt like hell. I'm sure it was brought on again after a recent day spent at Hankley Common. I was playing really well, irons were superb that day. But a couple of times I found thick heather and tried to hack my way out of it, and I think I strained it again then.
Luckily we are coming to the end of the season now so I will be playing less golf and should be able to give it the rest it needs.
