Truly a very, very good course. Cut out of woodland within a deer park, the setting and feel of the place is relaxing and immediately de-stressing. The course has a very linksy feel despite the absence of salt laden air and, today at least, wind.
An old course, but a new purpose designed clubhouse; well designed too - and the food is easily up there with the best.
It's not cheap, even as a society but one to look out for.

the only negative, and there has to be one, may be the bunkers. They are well placed, and nasty, but too many overhangs and too much shingle underlying a too thin layer of sand doesn't make life any easier. It's still early in the season so maybe they have plans to fix them.

still a great course, especially on the best day of the year to date.

Phil, you'll be fine. Quite what it would be like off the blacks . . . quick greens and lots of tricky borrows, tiered greens, you'll love it.

It doesn't really have a stand-out hole, just all good quality (though I remember the par 3 11th well, probably because I drew a beaut over the two bunkers on the right to pin high on the top tier)
