Woke up this morning to a foot of snow and its still coming down now.

We were going to be on full course this weekend as well, typical. :( :( :(

You folks north of the border should have your subs reduced as you only appear to be able to play golf 6 months out of 12 :D :D

UP1.

I agree we pay far too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

In all seriousness it s been really nice the last couple of months up here, I've even played a few rounds in shirt sleeves.

Our greens were just starting to come on and they were thinking of opening the full course up a few weeks early. Cant see that happening now.

reduce their fee's to what.... free.

i still cant beleive how cheap your golf is, but with the luck you guys have with teh weather maybe its justified. still a gutter to see your course return to full glory only to be closed again... and in march too.

TBH its only been the last 2 years we have had any snow. going back to 2006 i played in shirt sleeves on Christmas Eve. In 2007 London had more snow than Inverness.
Give me up here any day though, Lighter evenings, great courses, Low greens fee's and we don't have to put up boiling temps in summer :D. The downside is we get the odd bit of bad weather. :D

well patrick ill think about you when im playing sunday ....

until then ill show you how our courses are down here....

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

No but bloody tempted. The changes they have made make the course unrecognisable, seriously bratty last weekend after all that rain on Saturday and the course was immaculate.

Was almost tropical on the range last night and jumper and golf shirt more than sufficed. Looking forward to playing both days this weekend and the course will be nice and dry with the warmer weather and breeze. Might even christen my new FJ's

I do feel for the Scotish contingent affected though. With the clock change only a few weeks away it hardly seems fair or right to be losing golfing time now to more snow. Still I guess that is golfers revenge for having such good courses at your disposal

Have they still got three hundred weight of stones in every bunker???

Is Ron Noades still rationing the greenkeeping staff around his AltonWood empire???

I played The Addington last year - I wouldn't rush back.

Aw I estimate around 15-20 bunkers are current GUR completely renovated, fresh edges, fresh turf surrounding them. I caddied at that course as a kid from 93-97 and played there last year and can honestly say I've never seen the course is such great shape

Yes some of the fairway bunkers still have some stones but take the 11th every bunker is brand new
