Archerfield Links

Haven't heard about that one although I've played both courses. It is a bit of a "footballer's" venue. I take it you're trying to drum up some business?

Not really. I played in it last year with him and he asked if i knew anyone who would fancy playing this year as he would like it to become bigger. Thought it would be a good idea to ask on here!!?

I'm a Pro on the Europro tour and have just joined here to keep in the loop as i'm no longer teaching or in the Pro shop game.

Thats correct, amateurs can be of any age. It's to give Amateurs the chance to play with up and coming professionals and the chance to play at a great facility.

The practice facilities are second to none and the two courses are greta. One is a Links and one is a mixture of links and woodland. Have a look at www.archerfieldgolfclub.com

2 things.
1.If your not teaching or working in a golf shop, I assume your working for the Majot Golf Events company and are just here to advertise it?
2. I take it this is not a PGA sanctioned event as they would never put an age limit on their tournaments?

I play full time now. Ive got my challenge tour card for 2010 so will play that and Europro.

David i met a few years a go and i said i would spread the word on this for him.

£330 is not the coorect price The correct price is £285. Which isnt bad considering you cannot play the course as its closed doors

Archerfield has become a very sought after course in this area in recent years and that price although i agree is high i would think it is worth it as from the players i have spoke to that have played have said it is excellent.

Adam you seem to have had a couple of good results as a am and a pro so best of luck for the year!

Good luck for next year Adam but i think it very expensive in June i'm playing in the Causeway Coast Am Comp ,£180 for 4 practise rounds and 4 comp rounds at Portstewart,Castlerock Royal Portrush and Ballycastle plus Ballyliffin at £40 that 9 rounds on top quality courses for £220 now thats value.
As i said good luck on the Challenge Tour for this season

Even though you can't get a game unless you have connections I too think it's a tad pricey for the beginning of March which is usually hurricane season up here on the east coast.

That said all the best on tour,I'll be looking out for your results so comeback on and let us know about life on the road.

I'm sorry Adam, I'm confused.
You only played 2 events last year on Europro and didn't make either cut and therefor no money.
And now you've progressed to the Challenge tour and Europro tour. :D
How did you do it and how do you fund you golf?
You must have great sponsors and a new coach?

Yes i have very good sponsors that cover all the cost. We had a very bad year and changed coach half way through the season to Luke Ringrose (Who teaches Danny Vansic, peter baker ...) I have managed to secure 5 sponsors invites through Chubby so will push from there. Massive year this year so off to Aus in a few weeks for 3 weeks of warm weather training due to the snow :(
