Is there anybody on here, who knows or works on the south coast where there are vaccancies for engineering apprentiships? as my son is now 16 and looking really hard for availablilitys /

Has he given any consideration to joining the Navy?
I had 11 years in the mob, and enjoyed most of it.
Would be a great chance for him to get a career, good pay, see the world and make some awesome mates.

Probably not relevent as i live in suffolk in east anglia, but I am 16 and I am an apprentice engineer for a local firm and can say that for me its the best possible route to go. The website which G1BB0 posted is the one to use and there should be more vacancies coming up with the new government funding etc. Hope he finds something anyhow. :)

Master-putter.

I was an Tiffy. Great training and job, highly recommended.

my lads have been on all different sites but found the one above very good, had plenty of calls already. Compared to using local avenues which have yielded not a thing!

Connexions usually have a foot in with the local authority, the majority of public sector have been given a load of funding for apprentices. We've had about 20 start in the last 4 months. Variety of areas not just pen pusher.
