Never used anything else.

Unless you pay for an app it’s pretty basic but functional none the less. I’ve certainly found it compliments my rangefinder.

I've used a few apps on my Apple Watch, my current choice is the Tag Heuer app (previously Fun Golf GPS app). The only issue I have is battery life when using the GPS from the watch, it barely lasts 18 holed (and sometimes doesn't). Lettin the watch use the iPhone GPS helps but it means you need to carry the phone and not have it in your bag.

I use Hole19 on my Apple Watch, the free version is more than adequate and gives pretty accurate yardages to front, middle and back of green, keeps score etc... I keep my phone in my bag/trolley and it works just fine.

Another happy Hole19 user here.
Gives me all the information I need just by quickly checking the watch.
If I want more detail such as bunker distances etc then I just need a quick check of the phone.

Does the watch battery last okay on Hole 19 when the phone is in your bag?

I’ve got the latest iwatch (series 4) and have no issues what so ever.
Could wear it all day/night and play 36 holes and not run out.

It’s the phone that these apps really seem to drain the battery on but I usually just lock the phone so the screen isn’t on and have no problems.
