As the title says really since I have upgraded it has been a royal pain in the butt. Even on this forum it is horrendous. How the flippin Eck can Apple call it upgrade.

I upgraded my iPhone to IOS 8.1.1 a couple of days ago and haven't noticed any problems with it!

Works fine on my two devices.

Funny how if there is a glitch with some Apple software, it makes the front pages, but with Android or Windows, nobody even comments as it is expected. Double standards?

Please prepare for a 100 questions today as I've just waiting for my phone upgrade from a Blackberry Curve to an S4 mini!

My phone and tablet both upgraded to Android lollipop last week and I'm not impressed. The wi-fi seems to be slower making videos on you tube sometimes unwatchable due to the buffering and the sound now doesn't seem to want to work if you have the tablet charging.

Not sure of it's double standards or simply one of expectation.

Apple market themselves as a premium product, so, inevitably, people expect them to be faultless.

I'm not saying the Andriod OS isn't premium, but the Andriod system isn't tied to one make/brand of phone. It's used in HTC, Samsung, Sony and a few others so there bound to be some Software/Hardware 'issues' across the different handset platforms.

With Apple being a closed shop, you would expect it to be right every time, with little to no error.

I know I never experienced any issues through upgrade of IOS software, but know plenty of folk who have.

Not at all, if you are going to pay top dollar for apple products, they should work as expected. There is such a wide range of phones and tablets that thtey are not really comparable

Not had any problems with 8.1.1 here. Installed on iPad air, ipad 2, iPhone 5s and iphone 6 all fine

No problems here on the iPhone 6+, the 4s or the iPad..

I did have an issue a few years back when an upgrade "greyed" out the WiFi on my old 4s. The customer service was comfortably the best I have ever experienced. I was shocked it was that good TBH..

Why is it a pain? Is it just slow now or things not working? What phone do you actually have?
