that was a bit of a marathon. I watched the last hour of the golf until 6, then the tennis until 8 give or take a rain break, top gear until 9 then back to the tennis until 9.30. I'm glad Rafa won though- I wonder if his mate sergio can win the open now? It's not a bad time for Spanish sport. Fair play to Federer for being the perfect gentleman at the end though.

I'm exactly the same as theeaglehunter for my TV viewing tonight. What a day of sport, both the Golf and Tennis were edge of the seat stuff.

Both Nadal + Federer were true gentlemen and showed how the game should be played.

I was more impressed with Lewis Hamilton's drive in the GP and Fisher's composure in leading from start to finish.

Tennis will never be a top sport in the Uk because it is not a major sport at schools, it is seen as more of an eliteist game for the privileged. Sure if Murray wins Wimbledon the euphoria will be incredible for a while until the press find someone else to write about.

great match but i would have preferred federer to win as he plays the better tennis and isnt a young greasy spaniard who just trys to whack the hell out of the ball accompanied with an awful grunt
