Anyone watch Master chef

Was watching an Episode the other night and to my astonishment the critic felt it was right to voice there opinions because someone couldn't Identfy what Pureed Strawberry tastes like .
They seem to forget not everyone has tasted or know visually what products look like or after ,
I felt it was out of Order for them to humiliate them in that way because they are Amatures not Professionals , that spend umpteen hours in a kitchen .

I used to use one of the beeb fora and there was no end of angst over the judges decision one year. They gave it to some 60+ Michelin-style wannabe who only did classical French while it seemed everybody else wanted a JCB operator who could turn his hand to anything.

Thing about this prog though is that you almost never hear of the winners again.

But as to the OP, how can you not identify pureed strawberry by taste? It's strawberry flavoured!

I have to admit to being hooked on Masterchef, always watch the new series, even remember the JCB driver who is now on some cook show trying to show cooking is better than takeaway.

Have to admit to being a keen cook (though with only average talent) so my guilty secret is a love of cookery programs.
