Anyone use Empire Golf (Opens)

The last couple of years me and my mates have been playing in a couple of Senior Opens a year . Next year we are thinking of playing one of the better courses in our area South Manchester. Does anyone use Empire Golf to help them book their Opens and is it worth the £15 a year Premier subscription?

Currently have an offer of £13.00 ish for a year, not sure if that’s a calendar year of from the date you join.

I use them for most of my opens, it's a great website. I don't pay any fee though. I don't know if that gives you early access or better filter options. The standard, free service is excellent though.

I just use the free service to find ones I'm interested in, then book directly with the golf club

Golf Empire is very good. Paying the subscription gives you better search functionality, such as by date. Other than that it seems fine in free mode.

The free website is fine but I've also used paid subscription if I want to plan things in more detail.....has good calendar feature and much more extensive search functionality.

I pay for Golf Empire because I can then search by date. That's important to me because I play loads of opens and I like to plan ahead. Unless you need that feature, stick with the free membership.

Interesting, why do you prefer Happy Golf? Does it offer something that you haven't been able to get on Golf Empire?

Well basically it's just ease of use, and mainly, when looking for Open's I allow about an hour's drive and this from where I live means searching about 6 different counties, it's just a pain in golf empire having to search individual counties and again for each format.

I don't know if it something available in the premium version but I am not going to pay when it is for free on happy golf.
